Real estate agents: I have read enough of your breathless prose hawking real estate on Facebook. Now read some of ours: we are selling exclusive, move in ready, oversized, stunning Moroccan rugs with great potential. Hurry! They won't last long.
Although it comes off paternalistic in sections—it was published by the French Protectorate with the intention of selling Moroccan rugs in France—it is energetically written, has lots of info about the tribes and terroirs of Morocco, and Ricard has an obvious love of the rugs. It is a very rare book that I paid $100 dollars for, and has a glaring typo right on the cover. I love it.
While the tradition behind the Moroccan Wedding Blanket can seem archaic to a lot of Westerners, they have a rich history, and look great in your home.
